1. The service
XXCam is an iPhone viewfinder and camera utility. It can send live camera frames—or a ReplayKit screen broadcast explicitly started by the user—over the same Wi‑Fi or personal hotspot to a browser on another device. The viewer does not need XXCam installed. XXCam does not provide internet cloud streaming, hosted accounts, or remote media storage.
2. Eligibility and acceptance
You must be legally able to accept these terms. A minor may use XXCam only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you do not agree, do not install or use XXCam.
3. License
Subject to these terms and applicable App Store terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use XXCam for personal or internal business purposes on compatible Apple devices that you own or control. XXCam is licensed, not sold.
Unless applicable law expressly permits it, you may not copy, rent, resell, sublicense, reverse engineer, bypass security controls, or use XXCam to provide an unauthorized commercial service.
4. Lawful recording and other people’s privacy
You are responsible for the content you capture, broadcast, display, or share and for how you use XXCam. You agree to:
- obtain any consent required by law before recording, screen broadcasting, or transmitting another person’s image;
- not use XXCam for covert surveillance, stalking, harassment, privacy violations, intellectual-property infringement, or unlawful activity;
- check the screen before starting ReplayKit to avoid transmitting notifications, account details, or other sensitive content; and
- share pairing links only with authorized viewers and use trusted Wi‑Fi or a personal hotspot.
5. Your content
You retain your existing rights in photos, camera frames, and screen content. Solely to perform the local viewing and saving functions you request, you authorize XXCam to process that content on your devices and transmit it to the local-network viewers you select. XXCam does not take ownership of your content or upload it to a server controlled by us.
6. Network, pairing, and security
The viewer URL includes a randomly generated pairing token for each app launch. Do not publicly post a link that is still in use. Local transmission uses HTTP and is not end-to-end encrypted. XXCam cannot control the security of the network, viewer devices, or a viewer’s later use or storage of visible content. Use safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of your content.
7. Permissions and system limitations
Core features require Camera and Local Network permission. Saving and displaying photo thumbnails requires Photos permission. Broadcasting another app requires you to start Apple’s ReplayKit interface yourself. iOS may suspend camera or network activity when XXCam is in the background. Device performance, local congestion, OS versions, and third-party camera apps may affect quality, latency, or availability.
8. Third-party services and software
XXCam depends on Apple’s iOS, camera, Photos, local network, ReplayKit, and App Store services and includes open-source software under its respective licenses. Shortcuts may open third-party camera apps, but we do not control, endorse, or warrant those apps. Their own terms apply.
9. Updates, changes, and termination
We may update XXCam to fix issues, support new system versions, or improve features, and we may change or discontinue features. If you materially breach these terms, your license may terminate to the extent permitted by law. After termination, stop using and delete XXCam. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect.
10. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, XXCam is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, suitability for every device or network, a particular latency or image quality, or compatibility with third-party apps. Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusions of statutory warranties; this section does not affect non-waivable consumer rights.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from network interruption, unauthorized viewers, accidental capture of sensitive content, data loss, device failure, or third-party service failure. No limitation applies where applicable law prohibits it.
12. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the developer is located, without excluding mandatory consumer protections available where you live. We may update these terms and post a new effective date. Continued use after a material change means you accept the updated terms.
